Hello everyone. I’m KP Kwan from tsteasianfood.com. This is my version of the clear vegetable soup, Chinese
style that I’ve just made. It is very easy to make. What you need is radish,
carrot, sweet corn and onion and that’s it. I make it from scratch by using
some chicken bone, but if you want to make it even simpler, you can just get
some chicken stock from the supermarket, and you will cut the time that is
required to half. So let me show you how to do it. Cut the sweet corn into five to
six portions. Cut the carrot and the radish into slices, and the onion into
small chunks. I’m using chicken bone to prepare the soup stock in this recipe.
Clean the chicken carcass. Cut it into large chunks. Submerge the born in cold water in a pot. Bring it to the boil. Remove the scum
floating on top with a wire mesh strainer. Let the bone simmer for 45
minutes over low heat. Pour the chicken stock through the wire
mesh strainer again to remove any unwanted debris. Now bring the chicken stock to a boil again. Add the carrot, radish and the sweet corn
into the stock. Let it simmer for 30 minutes or until the radish and
carrot are soft. Now add the onion to the chicken stock
and boil for another 10 minutes. Lastly season with salt and pepper and
now the soup is ready to be served. This is how I prepare a clear
